Introduction

This invitational is a school-wide event that provides an opportunity for teachers to display their innovative teaching models, or so called smarter models, and experiences through actual lectures in smarter classroom. With healthy competition and valuable comments from local and international experts, teachers who have been teaching in the smarter classroom can refine their models to understand students and reach lecture objectives more efficiently and effectively.

Ala'a AL-Afifi

Ala'a has been a Primary Islamic Studies teacher for the American Program (SAT) at the Islamic Educational College since 2013. She has attended Classroom Management, Teaching Strategies and Multiple Intelligence, ISO Ethics of Teaching and Pedagogy courses over the years trying to further develop herself as a teacher. Ala'a has a Bachelor degree in Islamic Education from Yarmouk University and a diploma in Information Technology in School Management.

Aseel AL-Zoubi

Assel is a veteran English teacher for the American Program (SAT) at the Islamic Educational College. She has tremendously rich experience in teaching English at different levels with the goal to encourage active learning and group participation besides creating a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth for her students. Assel possesses a BA degree in English for Specific Purposes from Jordan Universtiy of Science and Technology.

Yusra AL-Shihabi

Yusra teaches Arabic for the American Program (SAT) and has been with the Islamic Educational College since 1995. She has one of the longest tenure among all of the teachers and 25 years of overall teaching experience. Yusra received her Bachelor degree in Education/Elementary Education from Arab Open University.

Tassneem AL-Houssine

Tassneem is a science teacher for the American Program (SAT) at the Islamic Educational College. She employs Kagan Cooperative Learning strategy into her daily teaching in TEAM Model Smarter Classroom.

Hiba Al-Ahmad

Hiba is an English teacher for the American Program (SAT) at the Islamic Educational College. She specializes in teaching English literature and loves to introduce her mother tongue Arabic and the culture to non-Arabic speakers. With keen interest in learning different languages, Hiba also speaks Japanese and Turkish. She has a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Jordan.

Mai Dar-Ahmad

Mai is an Arabic language teacher for the American Program (SAT) at the Islamic Educational College. She has over 6 years of experience in teaching Arabic to different grade levels of students and has been with the school since August 2015. Mai has a Bachelor degree in Applied Arabic Language from the Albalqa' Applied University.

Rasha Qawasmeh

Rasha is a veteran science teacher who first joined the National Program of the Islamic Educational College in 2007 before switching to the American Program (SAT) in 2011. She has over 16 years of teaching experience and has attended countless education-related training courses to enrich herself as a teacher. Rasha received her Master degree in Curriculum and Instructions - Methods of Teaching Science from the University of Jordan.

Abeer Abu Libdeh

Abeer joined the American Program (SAT) in August, 2015 after previously working as a CIPP Biology teacher also at the Islamic Educational College from 2007 to 2012. She is a veteran science teacher with more than 15 years of experience and numerous professional training courses under her belt. Abeer has a Bachelor degree in Biology and Higher Diploma in ICTE from University of Jordan.

Mohammed Suleiman

Mohammed is a Physics teacher for the American Program (SAT) at the Islamic Educational College. He possesses a long track record for teaching science and was the coordinator of science department for multiple schools in the Gulf region before arriving Islamic Educational College in August 2015. Mohammed earned his Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Mosul, Iraq and a Master in Educational in Educational Technology from Arab Open University, Amman, Jordan.

Rania Al-Jefou

Rania is a Business and Social teacher for the American Program (SAT) at the Islamic Educational College, teaching Business courses to students from grade 9-12 and Social courses to those in the middle school. She brings real-world experience into the classroom after working as coordinator with NGOs and government agency on various social issues. Rania holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Jordan.

Rahma Barakat

Rahma is an experienced Arabic language teacher for the American Program (SAT) at the Islamic Educational College.
